What Information Do We Collect About You and Why?

When you visit our websites, YAR – Youth Against Racism Consortium may collect personal information from your personal information that you provide, such as your name, organisation name (if applicable), email address, phone number, postal address when you try to contact.t us for the volunteering program or for participating in the “You are Racist Right!” Contest

Declaration of Consent for the Processing of Personal Information and the Use of Videos/Photos/Articles Submitted

When signing up to this competition, you agree that we can process your personal data provided in the submission form and given to us during the competition. We process the data so that we can register your participation, judge the submission, save what you have submitted and publish your submission. Necessary permission, e.g., for photographing children’s faces are the responsibility of the author and must, therefore, be sought.


In the case of images and voices of minors present in the product, the parents of the represented persons, at the time of their authorisation, consent to the presence of the name, images and voice of their child. Furthermore, that the contents are original and not protected by copyright or that they are available for non-commercial use, and I undertake to cite the relevant authors. They know that they are informed that the publication of the video will take place through all communication channels used by the YAR project, both web and social and in any publications, aware that the project partnership will not derive any financial gain from such publication.


The permitted use is strictly related to the creation of multimedia content in the contest organized by the partnership of the European project YAR – YAR AGAINST RACISM.


How Long Do We Retain Your Data For?

Yar Project intends to keep your personal information accurate and up-to-date. We will delete the information that we hold about you when they are no longer of use or sooner upon your request, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it for a longer period.  We may keep personal data for a longer period of time in case this data is of public interest, or because of historical or scientific research.

Your Rights

The GDPR provides the following rights for individuals:

  • You have the right to be informed and to get access the personal information.
  • You can require any inaccurate personal information to be corrected or you can require that we delete information about you.
  • You can object to our use of your personal information for direct marketing purposes at any time and you may have the right to object to our processing of some or all of your personal information and require them to be deleted.
